Little Rock

Little Rock

Little Rock began in Waterloo in 1993. As a first class country band, it was assembled for the purpose of giving touring musicians a good band to play in when they were home off the road. However, the band quickly became a favorite fixture at the tri-cities two popular country dance clubs, where they played regularly for nearly 20 years, tightening and honing their show.

The eight piece band includes a wealth of local veteran talent. On the drums, Jim Boudreau (Mel Brown, Lace); on the pedal steel/dobro/lap steel Pee Wee Charles (Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Witter); on the fiddle/mandolin/vocals, Shane Guse (The Guse Family, Jason McCoy); on the guitar and vocals Fred Hale; on percussion and vocals Janet Hale; on bass/vocals, Steve Hogg(Ian Thomas, Ronnie Hawkins); on vocals and percussion, Stacey Lee (Lace); and last but not least, Jeff Tanner on guitar and vocals.

Through a collection of carefully chosen country pop standards and original music, the show takes you from powerful vocal driven ballads to rippin bluegrass and fiddle numbers. And if you didn’t already spot it from the above paragraph, there are six vocalists and three instrumental soloists providing plenty to see and hear. It’s a high energy, high quality experience.
